Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital
Dr.  Ram   Manohar  Lohia  Hospital,  formerly   known  as  Willingdon  Hospital,  was established by the Britishers for their staff and had only 54 beds. After independence, its  control was shifted  to  New Delhi  Municipal Committee. In 1954, its control  was again transferred to the Central Government of Independent India. The   hospital  has  grown  over  the  years and is currently  having about 984 beds, spread over in  30 acres  of  land.  It  caters  to  the  population of New Delhi and Central District, apart from patients from other areas and even from out  side Delhi. It is  having  71  beds  in  a Nursing  Home  for  the C.G.H.S  beneficiaries,  including Maternity Nursing Home.

G. B. Pant Hospital
The G.B. Pant Hospital was established in 1964 and has turned out to be a prestigious institution in the country. Commissioned in 1936 as Irwin Hospital , it remained and continues to be one of the premier teaching hospital of Delhi Govt. G.T.B. (Guru Teg Bahadur) Hospital
G.T.B. Hospital was established in 1987 with 350 bed capacity which has now been expanded to 1000-beds capacity. It is the only Delhi Government tertiary care hospital in Trans-Yamuna (East Delhi) area, catering to East Delhi population as well as patients from adjacent states. Swami Dayanand Hospital
Swami Dayanand Hospital (SDNH) was established in 1963 as 73 bed hospital. This was until 1976 known as Shahdara General Hospital. Subsequently in early 1970' the set up was expanded to 100 bed facility. The hospital was further strengthened by addition of 130 beds, in late 76 -77.OPD set was improved in 1985 - 86, with construction of separate modern facility. The hospital is named after Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the social reformer saint of 19th Century India, who unequivocally condemned idolatry, animal sacrifices, ancestor worship, pilgrimages, priest-craft, the caste system, untouchability and child marriages.
